Transitions

Going through a transition can feel overwhelming. It may be a time of soul searching, leaning into strengths, and being open to new strategies to regain confidence and feel strong again.

You may find that you are going through a transition in your career:

Receiving a promotion

New responsibilities at work

Retirement

Starting a new job

Changing careers

Going back to school

Taking on new responsibilities can be exciting but you may have difficulty getting everything done while also hesitant to trust and delegate to others.

Or perhaps you’ve been working in your career and feel comfortable with the work but find yourself feeling bored, unhappy, stagnant - asking yourself, “Is this it?”

You may have dreams about what you want your life to look like, what you want to accomplish, but find yourself procrastinating, risk-averse, afraid to “rock the boat.”

Or perhaps you are at the end of your career having accomplished so much and ready for a change - for “what’s next” - but feel uncertain about how to stay stimulated and engaged in your retirement. You want to continue to be relevant, make a difference or learn how to relax and have fun. When work has played such an important role in your life and identity, it can be challenging to imagine who you are without it.

Or perhaps you are experiencing a transition in your personal life:

Empty nesting

Moving

Loss of a loved one

Marriage

Becoming a parent

Divorce/Separation

Navigating a transition in our personal life can be especially unsettling. These changes can affect our daily lives, our support systems, our very sense of identity and self.
